Fine Indian Dining in Singapore

Sometime back I, along with a friend, went to famous Jiggs Kalra's Punjab Grill Restaurant in Singapore. The restaurant is located at Marina Bay Sands. I was a bit excited as we were going to have a five-course dinner, which I never had before. Here is my analysis:

Gareeb gareeb, Ameer ameer (Poor More Poorer, Rich More Richer)

I visited New Delhi a week back for office related work. During this trip, I get a chance to travel frequently in , Easy Cab, Meru Cab etc. As I was wondering about how this cab system works in India during my one hour long trip from the hotel to Nehru place in an Easy-Cab, I thought of asking the driver directly. Here is how the system works:

Brunch - Hediard Singapore

Now that I've started working, I've been exploring places in Singapore for dining and breakfast. I visited a place called Hediard, Paris, at Tanglin road. This is a french restaurant with an amazing ambiance. The theme is red. Once you enter, you see a room full of Hediard's chocolates, spices, wines, savories, tea and coffee. Further inside is the dining space. The good thing today were the weather was brilliant and there was no waiting. I ordered a set breakfast for S$19 which quite a bit of stuff, fine for one person. Alternatively, one can order from their regular menu as well.

Couple of good things I would like to mention for this place. First, they can prepare food for vegetarians (unlike John, The Grocer who is falling short of veg dishes) as my friend ordered Croq Ferdinand without Ham (nice dish with lots of cheese), and, second they obliged my request to put salt and pepper in fried egg :-). Not many restaurants do that.

Nice place to visit and look forward to visit soon.

Singapore - Selling Market

This post is coming out after researching (and further meeting/ chatting) a lot of profiles on LinkedIn. Almost all US MNCs will have regional hub here. So, here is my observation:
